Renate Gabrielle Methöfer - Rum und Sauerkraut

Like 'Searching', this piece is inspired by the music from the German group Hoelderlin. It was meant to by a part of a suite, based on the lyrics of the song Rare bird. I wrote the part on the 5th of August 1993 and completed it as a independent composition in June and July 1994. I gave the song this title because on the debut-album of the group stood after the name of the drummer: "er spielt gerne Rum und aß viel Sauerkraut", which can be translated as: "he likes to play rum and ate lots of sauerkraut".
