Thunderstorm

This is a piece of pure symphonic rock, with a nice piano-solo. It's inspired by a thunderstorm, because I like to look at this weather. Besides this it is inspired by ‘Pictures' a song of the German trio Schicke, Führs, Fröhling, a song in which the Mellotron plays an important role. According to someone who had heard the work of this German group and this composition, there was a strong likeness. In a way it is a sort of tribute to this trio. It sounds quite pompous, which I like. I think it is one of my best songs.
